There are 7 galleries of photos from the SOVREN/Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Races at Pacific Raceways on July 4th, 2009.   Six galleries have cars from one of the 7 groups assigned for the races, the seventh gallery has various shots from the pits, the parade laps and a few racers in black and white.
 
I was working crowd control for the day, so if you don't see a car you're looking for it may be that I wasn't able to shoot it while working (or it could mean I screwed up and the shot wasn't good enough to show).  Since I spent the day in the infield, I didn't get to see much of the paddock, either.  You'll have to see my shots from 2008 if you want to see more there, that's when I spent the day outside the straightaway - more pit shots, less racing.  But then I got to ride around the track in an old Mini with the SAMOA group, too.

There are 5 galleries here from the SOVREN/Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Races at Pacific Raceways on July 5th, 2008.  I was there with the  SAMOA group of old Minis and spent most of the day in the paddock or between turns 9 and 10.  Doing a couple parade laps in a Mini was fun and gave me pictures from on the track and a whole different perspective of the track after years of being just a spectator.

I didn't get to spend too as much time watching racing as I usually would, but there are some good shots here, especially in the wet.  It was a cool and cloudy day for the most part but we had some good rain showers, too. For the most part, the rain didn't seem to bother the spectators much.
